Working visit of Carla Augusto to Vanadzor State University
On July 4-8, Carla Augusto, the Coordinator of the International Office of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Porto, was hosted by the Vanadzor State University on a working visit.
The guest had meetings with university rector Rustam Saakyan, administrative and teaching staff, university students. She presented the University of Porto and informed about the mobility opportunities with both bachelor’s and master’s degree programs.
She noted that 12 of the 15 Armenian students studied at Porto University through the mobility program were students of Vanadzor State University, and most of them showed excellent progress. Graduates who returned from Portugal shared their experience, impressions, differences in educational programs, difficulties they encountered and overcame during their studies.
The guest discussed the academic, educational, international programs of the universities of Porto and Vanadzor, the differences in the evaluation credit system, mobility possibilities of students and staff with the deans of the university faculties.
During the subsequent meetings, Carla Augusto emphasized the strengthening of cooperation between the universities of Porto and Vanadzor.
Carla Augusto left the university with positive impressions and new prospects for cooperation.
