Seminar-Discussion dedicated to the Heroic Battles of Artsakh in Vanadzor State University
On November 30, a seminar-discussion dedicated to Artsakh survival battles took place in the library of Vanadzor State University. The event was initiated by Lilit Hakobyan, the newly elected president of the university’s SSS. The reports were made by 3rd and 4th year VSU students majoring in “History”.
Each student reflected on the life of Artsakh heroes (Tatul Krpeyan, Arkadi Ter-Tadevosyan, Leonid Azgaldyan, Adam Sahakyan, hero of the Four-Day-War, Arman Ghulyan, hero of the 44-Day-Wat, Borik and Narek Mosinyan), their feats and messages left to generations.
The times they lived in, their ideas about life and death, their preferences and character traits, their places of birth were different, but they were united by one thing: the Love for the Motherland, for the salvation and power of which each of them has fallen.
As emotional as the event was, the message was one: to remember, to commemorate our national heroes and convey to the future generations the idea that we still have a duty to fulfill.
“No matter how difficult it is to speak at such events, it is even more difficult not to speak, because such events leave a mark that the feat of our heroes is not forgotten,” stated Hermine Abelyan, the mother of heroized Arman Ghulyan.
The event dedicated to Artsakh heroes ended with the poem “Soldier’s Father”.
Certificates were awarded to the participants of the event and letters of thanks — to the library of Vanadzor State University.
