Laboratory Experiments at VSU with the Pupils of Basic School №15 after Mesrop Mashtots
Within the framework of the school-university relations, pupils of the basic school №15 with Syuzanna Hovhannisyan, chemistry and biology teacher, took part in experiments at the Analytical Chemistry Laboratory of VSU.
The purpose of the visit was to strengthen the pupils’ theoretical knowledge via laboratory experiments.
The pupils became participants of laboratory and saw a decomposition reaction — the “Volcano effect”, exchange reactions, made a polymer — plastic from chemical elements, and got answers to a number of questions.
Angela Hovsepyan, lecturer at the Chair of Chemistry and Biology, carried out laboratory experiments.
The pupils were then given an overview of the specialties of the university’s current and distance learning systems for the purpose of their career orientation by Aida Iskandaryan, the coordinator of school-university relations. She also noted that similar meetings are made on a regular basis at the university and have been held for about ten years.
