Barekendan at Vanadzor State University

On February 12, the yard of Vanadzor State University was crowded. Students and professors of the university gathered to celebrate one of the ancient holidays of the Armenian people — Barekendan.

Barekendan means good life. It is a day of joy and fun. The holiday is accompanied by traditional games, dances and, of course, plenty of entertainment.

The students of Vanadzor State University were also not left out of the celebration and prepared various traditional dishes. At the end of the event, each table won in a category and received an award. Rector of Vanadzor State University Rustam Saakyan handed over the awards.

The celebration ended with a merry round dance.
