On February 15, representatives of the Russian Center for Science and Culture met at Vanadzor State University. The reason for the visit was timed to coincide with Book Donation Day: the guests donated textbooks to Vanadzor State University, with the help of which it will be possible to teach Russian as a foreign language.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Head of the Chair of Foreign Languages and Literature at Vanadzor State University, Tadevos Tadevosyan, introduced fifteen famous and unknown Russian authors who touched upon Armenia and Armenians in their works.
During the meeting, university students read works of Russian poets reflecting the Armenian theme. The readings were accompanied by a duduk.
Irina Poghosyan, coordinator of cultural events at the Gyumri branch of the Russian Center for Science and Culture, shared her impressions of visiting Armenian schools and universities, in particular, students’ communication skills in Russian.
