A Traditional “Open Door Day” event was held at Vanadzor State University
As part of the university-school relations, on February 8, a traditional “Open Day” meeting was held in the assembly hall of Vanadzor State University with the participation of pupils, their parents and teachers of schools, colleges, and schools of the Lori region. The opening speech was made by Aida Iskandaryan, coordinator-specialist of university-school relations, and Armenuhi Harutyunyan, Head of the Research, Innovation and Cooperation Department.
At the meeting, VSU was represented by Hrayr Papoyan the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Maria Brutyan, the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Hermine Grigoryan, the Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences, Arevik Lokyan, the Principal of the College, as well as Vaghinak Nazaryan, the Executive Secretary of the Admissions Committee.
The purpose of the meeting was to familiarize students with the new procedure for admission to higher education institutions, the opportunities provided by the university, the specialties offered by the bachelor’s degree, college and basic gymnasium, contributing to the correct professional orientation of students.
The meeting was held in the format of active questions and answers. The range of issues that concerned students was wide: mobility programs, the procedure for entrance exams for foreign citizens, professions and relevant qualifications, systems of free and paid education, a system of discounts, compatibility of the profession with the labor market, etc.
