Visit of 9th Grade Students of Vanadzor Basic School No. 7 named after A. Bakunts to Vanadzor State University
On February 2, as part of the university-school relations, 9th grade pupils of Vanadzor Basic School No. 7 named after A. Bakunts visited the physics laboratory at VSU. They were accompanied by physics teacher Gegetsik Vardanyan.
Postgraduate student of the Department of Chemistry and Biology, lecturer Haykuhi Tatulyan introduced the pupils to the topic “Orders of Geometric Optics” and through experiments demonstrated the phenomena of refraction and reflection of light. In addition, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Associate Professor Vilen Kocharyan demonstrated the principle of operation of solar cells to the pupils.
Participants shared their impressions: pupil Greta Sahakyan, for example, says: “We need to study physics, because everything around us is connected with physics, and it is very interesting to study the cause-and-effect relationships of physical phenomena, as well as natural disasters.”
Such visits not only contribute to the practical consolidation of theoretical knowledge, but also make you look at many realities from a different angle, why not, they also help to increase interest in this subject.
