Laboratory Experiments with the Participation of Pupils from the VSU Gymnasium
Within the framework of the university-school relations, the analytical chemistry laboratory of Vanadzor State University hosted the students of the 11th grade of Vanadzor State University’s gymnasium under the leadership of Nune Durmishyan (chemistry teacher and the head of the academic department).
Laboratory experiments were conducted by Angela Hovsepyan, a lecturer at the Chair of Chemistry and Biology. Pupils were introduced to such experiments as “Detection of nitrogen”, “Detection of carbon and hydrogen”, “Detection and properties of sucrose”, “Detection and properties of starch”.
The Head of the Chair of Chemistry and Biology, Candidate of Chemical Sciences, Associate Professor Armine Ghazaryan and university-school relations specialist Aida Iskandaryan also took part in the laboratory experiments. They emphasized the role of such meetings in increasing pupils’ interest in natural sciences and career guidance.
