Visit of Gugark Secondary School Students to Vanadzor State University
On May 13, as part of the ongoing collaboration between the University and schools, 10th-grade students from Hovhannes Shiraz Gugark Secondary School visited Vanadzor State University to conduct experiments and engage in scientific research.
During the visit, students participated in experiments focused on the detection of ascorbic acid (vitamin C), as well as its quantitative and qualitative analysis. They also explored the extraction of birch essential oil. The experiments were conducted under the guidance of Faculty Members from the Chair of Chemistry and Biology: Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Associate Professor Martun Tovmasyan, Mariam Bakhchinyan, as well as fourth-year students of the “Pharmaceutical Chemistry” program, Mariam Vartanova and Edvina Makaryan.
