VI INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE Language and literature in context of intercultural communication

The VI international conference «Language and literature in the context of intercultural communication» took place at Vanadzor State University after H. Tumanyan on the initiative of the Chair of Foreign Languages and Literature. Vice-Rector for Scientific Works, Candidate of Biological Sciences, Associate Professor Varduhi Hovsepyan gave the opening speech, thanking the attendees for the participation.

Rector of the university, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Rustam Saakyan also gave a welcome speech, pointing out the goals of the conference and expressing gratitude towards the participants from Poland, Bulgaria, Georgia and Russia. The rector expects that the conference will create prerequisites for conducting joint scientific work for the specialists of the participating countries.

The plenary session of the 6th international conference started with the «Semantic Extensions of Color Names «Orange» in Russian Literature » report of Karine Arustamyan, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor of the Chair of Foreign Languages and Literature. Doctor of Philology, Professor, Head of the Department of Romano-Germanic Philology Natalia Nikonova from Tomsk State University presented the report entitled «Textological Preparation of Epistolary Texts: Based on the Correspondence of V. A. Zhukovsky»

The third report of the plenary session of the conference was presented by Irina Savchenko, Professor of the Department of Philosophy and Social Sciences of Moscow City Pedagogical University (MSPU), Doctor of Sociological Sciences. The topic of the report was «Language in Intercultural Communication: Tool or Value». After the plenary session, the work of the conference continued in professional sections.

The section of LINGUISTICS AND LANGUAGE TEACHING METHODOLOGY was chaired by the Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor Tadevos Tadevosyan and Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor Karine Arustamyan.

The section of LITERARY STUDIES was chaired by Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor Natalya Nikonova and Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor Valery Piloyan. Reports were also made online. At the end of the conference, the speakers got participation certificates.
