Seminar on “Development and Understanding of Organizational Culture”

On May 12 and 13, Dr. Gohar Dokholyan, Associate Professor in the Department of Foreign Languages and Literature at Vanadzor State University and Co-Coordinator of the Erasmus+ DeSIRe project, conducted a seminar titled “Development and Understanding of Organizational Culture.”

During the seminar, Dr. Dokholyan shared insights and expertise gained through her participation in a training program at the Dresden University of Technology in Germany. She introduced participants to Geert Hofstede’s influential theory of the six dimensions of organizational culture and explored the conceptual distinctions between leadership and management.

The seminar featured a balanced combination of theoretical knowledge and interactive, hands-on activities. These engaging elements sparked significant interest among both students and faculty. Participants examined various aspects of organizational culture through the lens of Hofstede’s model and explored leadership and management dynamics via an interactive game.

The topic proved to be both timely and highly relevant, offering valuable perspectives for understanding and shaping effective organizational cultures.
