Seminar on “Information Theory”

On June 24, the Department of Mathematics and Informatics of Vanadzor State University named after H. Tumanyan hosted a seminar on “Information Theory.”
Lecturer Jemma Santrosyan presented the key principles of information theory in an engaging and accessible way, illustrating them with practical applications and examples. She also briefly introduced the content of her published article “Reliability Criteria in the Source Coding Problem with a Secret Component.”
Faculty members of the department attended the seminar. It sparked strong interest and provided an opportunity to discuss pressing topics in mathematics and informatics, with special emphasis on the composition method used in her research.
