On February 19, the Faculty of Humanities hosted a triple celebration

On February 19, the Faculty of Humanities of Vanadzor State University celebrated its annual Day, which coincided with the 156th anniversary of the birth of Armenian poet Hovhannes Tumanyan and the Day of Book Giving. The event commenced with a welcoming speech by the Rector, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Rustam Saakyan, followed by a speech from the Dean. The Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor Mariya Brutyan, highlighted the significant role of the faculty in the life of the university, congratulating all attendees on this symbolic day. Simultaneously, Mariya Brutyan expressed her gratitude to the university administration, faculty members, and, of course, the students.

Speeches of congratulations were also delivered by the Heads of the Faculty Chairs: Head of the Chair of History, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Feliks Movsisyan; Head of the Chair of Armenian Language and Literature, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor Hermine Baburyan; and Head of the Chair of Foreign Languages and Literature, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor Tadevos Tadevosyan.

The heads of the chairs and faculty members were presented with special books as gifts from the faculty. Additionally, students who demonstrated outstanding academic performance, showed exceptional involvement in public and scientific research, and excelled in fulfilling their responsibilities as class leaders, were awarded certificates.

The event continued beyond the confines of the hall. On the occasion of the Day of Book Giving, the faculty placed books in the vestibule, that students and guests could freely distribute. Each participant had the opportunity to take any book of their choice as a token of the occasion.
