Laboratory Experiments at VSU with the Pupils of High School №11.
Within the framework of the school-university relation, the 10th grade biology pupils of the high school №11 took part in experiments at the VSU laboratory of human and animal physiology, vertebrates and invertebrates.
Hermine Hovhannisyan, biology teacher emphasized that the purpose of the visit was to familiarize students with the university structure, science areas and the rules and regulations of entrance examinations, as well as to consolidate theoretical knowledge through laboratory experiments.
Shushan Karyan, PhD in Biology, Associate Professor, presented the information about blood groups, compatibility, rhesus factor, then, with the pupils’ direct participation, determined their blood groups.
The purpose of the next laboratory experiment was to make a preparation from the Elodea.
Such meetings at the university are held on a regular basis to boost students’ interest in biology and to make the right choice of the profession.
