“Chakhruk” at Vanadzor State University
On March 25, the ethno-musical ensemble “Chakhruk” from the Kharberd Specialized Orphanage, founded by Anna and Anait Mkhitaryan, performed at Vanadzor State University.
The event took place in a packed university hall, with the participation of Vanadzor State University Rector Rustam Saakyan, faculty members, representatives of the regional administration and local authorities, as well as other guests and students.
During the concert, the founders of “Chakhruk” spoke about the history of the ensemble, the daily life, lifestyle, interests, preferences, and dreams of their students. Through a video presentation, they also shared their emotions, goals, and hopes. The audience enjoyed beloved Armenian folk and ashugh songs that touched hearts and brought joy to everyone present.
At the end of the event, Rector Rustam Saakyan gifted H. Tumanyan’s book “In the Mountains of Armenia” to the group. In return, the talented ensemble members gifted the university handmade clay plates crafted by themselves.
The event was held in a warm and heartfelt atmosphere. The rhythms and sounds of the duduk evoked indescribable emotions among the audience, making the day truly unforgettable.
We express our sincere gratitude to the Mkhitaryan sisters for their humanitarian work.
