“Biaina” Choir Concert at Vanadzor State University
On May 7, 2025, the “Biayna” Choir gave another performance in the concert hall of Vanadzor State University, once again demonstrating a high level of artistic expression and vocal mastery.
The concert program featured works by prominent composers, including Kara Murza—the founder of Armenian polyphony—as well as Komitas, Khachatur Avetisyan, Arno Babajanyan, Makar Yekmalyan, Eduard Kzartmyan, Edvard Grieg, Tatul Altunyan, and James Gyozalyan.
A special highlight of the evening was the performance of “Song of Longing” by Gurgen Khachaturyan, arranged in polyphonic choral form by the choir’s artistic director, Sergey Arutyunyan.
The choir was accompanied by Karine Yeritsyan, Associate Professor at the Chair of Arts and Sports.
