A Memorandum of Cooperation between the “VSU” Foundation and the Public Organization “Union of Young Scientists and Specialists of Artsakh”
On November 22, the founder of the Artsakh Association of Young Scientists and Specialists, the editor-in-chief of the journal “Scientific Artsakh”, the head of the Artsakh e-library, PhD in Jurisprudence, Associate Professor Avetik Harutyunyan visited the Vanadzor State University Foundation. The periodical “Scientific Artsakh” is included in the list of permitted journals of the Supreme Certifying Committee of the Republic of Armenia and in the bibliographic database of scientific publications of Russian Science Citation Index. “Scientific Artsakh” is a journal that covers the problems of regional development, the issues of unrecognized states, as well as the current conflicts in the field of social sciences.
Rector of VSU, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Rustam Saakyan highly appreciated the 10-year activity of the NGO “Union of Young Scientists and Specialists of Artsakh” and highly appreciated the effective cooperation in scientific, educational and practical spheres between the VSU Foundation and the Public Organization. Then a memorandum of cooperation was signed, the basis of which is the confirmation of the current cooperation between the two structures in the scientific, educational and practical spheres. In particular, the parties will implement scientific and educational programs of mutual interest, organize conferences, seminars, exchange scientific and professional knowledge, methodological manuals, periodicals and other materials.
Then Avetik Harutyunyan presented the website of the Artsakh Electronic Library (www.artsakhlib.am), the features of its use and advantages. He described the possibilities of cooperation with those lecturers who have published their scientific works in various periodicals in the form of monographs and manuals and want the electronic version of their works to be posted on the website.
In conclusion, Avetik Harutyunyan handed over to VSU Rector Rustam Saakyan the latest 22nd edition of the journal “Scientific Artsakh”, in which VSU professor Gurgen Khachatryan and graduate student Gayane Chopuryan also published a scientific article.
