Vanadzor State University participates in the Second Student Hackathon organized by the Ministry of High-Tech Industry
On August 26, 2025, the Second Student Hackathon, organized by the Ministry of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia within the framework of the program “University-Private Sector Cooperation for Specialist Training”, was launched in Tsaghkadzor.
Minister of High-Tech Industry Mkhitar Hayrapetyan and Deputy Minister Ruben Simonyan welcomed the students and wished them success.
At the official opening ceremony, the Acting Rector of Vanadzor State University, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Rustam Saakyan, also delivered a speech.
The three-day program is being held from August 26 to 29 with the participation of around 100 students from various educational institutions of Armenia, specializing in information technologies and related fields.
The Vanadzor State University team includes: Marieta Sahakyan (Informatics, 2nd year), Arman Saghatelyan (Informatics, 2nd year), Ani Tamaryan (Informatics, 4th year), Mane Shakhkyan (Actuarial and Financial Mathematics, 4th year), and Andre Baljyan (Biology, 2nd year).
The teams are competing by presenting their own technological solutions to the proposed challenges. Three teams offering the best solutions will become winners with monetary prizes.
The hackathon program also includes seminars and professional discussions with the participation of representatives from the Ministry of High-Tech Industry, business, and academic institutions. These sessions will provide students with opportunities to interact with industry experts, explore the latest technological trends, and receive practical guidance.
