Summary
Key words: education, foreign language, equivalence, communication, communicative function, text, method, translatorTranslation plays a key and unique role in the process of learning a foreign language, helping learners acquire comprehensive knowledge and apply it effectively in the future. It plays an invaluable role and significance in the development of language skills, with particular emphasis on reading, text comprehension, and the development of oral and written speech. Through translation, two different languages are assessed with their capabilities, and the skills ensure the knowledge acquired by the learners. Our study confirms that the use of translation in the educational process as a more effective method improves and stimulates learners’ practical linguistic activity, their ability to act independently, their perception of the translation nuances of foreign texts, and their ability to transform oral and written speech into necessary skills. In our research, we have also included the views and approaches of a number of well-known theorists related to the issue under study, mainly on issues related to equivalence, an important and key issue in the field. We also considered it important to parallel intercultural communication with other translation issues and equivalence approaches during the discussion. The role of translation in teaching is important, necessary, and invaluable not only as a language tool, but also as a practical means and condition for building and developing interlingual relationships.
