The influence of digital media on journalistic style is an important and relevant topic for studying in the condition of rapid development of information and communication technologies. Digital media has created fundamentally new conditions for the dissemination of journalistic texts. Digitization of media space leads to several key changes in the structure and character of journalistic style.
New genres and forms of material submission are emerging. Journalists and authors of journalistic texts adapt traditional approaches to exposition, synthesizing information with the help of images, videos and graphics, which contributes to more accessible and quickly perceived content.
The strengthening of the role of hypertextuality in journalism is noted, which has an impact on the structure of publications, requires a new approach to the logical construction and organization of the text, and also changes the reader’s perception of the material.
It is also important to note that with the development of social networks and other digital platforms, a new format of communication with the audience appears: instant feedback. Unlike traditional forms of mass media, where the process of obtaining information was one-way, the digital environment stimulates a two-way process of information exchange and multiple forms of feedback, which, in turn, changes the structure and purpose of journalistic materials.
