In the contemporary conditions of globalization and informatization, information and communication technologies have penetrated all spheres of public life, including education. The educational paradigm has undergone changes both in terms of the organization of education and the methodology of management. In particular, the effective implementation of information and communication technologies in the educational process within the field of language education has made it possible to ensure such important factors as the creation of a natural language environment, the stimulation of learning motivation, the use of diverse teaching methods, and the provision of continuous language education, among others. However, alongside this set of tools aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of the educational process, information technologies have also revealed a number of challenges. In particular, these challenges concern the competent and effective use of information technologies by both students and teachers. This presupposes mastery of a set of competencies that enable, on the one hand, the delivery of education and, on the other hand, its acquisition on the basis of professional skills, the ultimate outcome of which is the continuous maintenance of professional competitiveness in the modern, constantly changing labor market. This is possible only through the effective integration of modern information technologies into the education system.
