Research Seminar on Non-Euclidean Geometry: Spherical Geometry and Lobachevsky Geometry

On May 22, the Chair of Mathematics and Informatics of the Faculty of Natural Sciences, Vanadzor State University, hosted a research seminar titled “Issues in Non-Euclidean Geometry: Spherical Geometry and Lobachevsky Geometry.”

The seminar was led by Associate Professor Melis Sakanyan, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences. M. Sakanyan presented complex theoretical concepts in a clear and engaging manner, emphasizing the historical, theoretical, and logical foundations of both spherical geometry and Lobachevsky geometry, as well as their modern applications.

Faculty members, students, and graduate students actively participated in the seminar, which sparked lively interest and provided a valuable platform for discussing current topics in mathematics, with a special focus on spatial theories and alternative geometric models.
