Event Dedicated to Rescuer’s Day at Vanadzor State University

On September 9, Vanadzor State University named after H. Tumanyan held an event dedicated to Rescuer’s Day.

In the Republic of Armenia, on September 4, 1997, a rapid response rescue unit was established. Today, instead of the term “Day of Emergency Worker”, the term “Rescuer’s Day” is used, and since 2008, September 4 has been officially celebrated as Rescuer’s Day.

Marine Siradeghyan, Safety Engineer of the University’s Administrative and Economic Department, presented to the students of the VSU College the behavioral rules to follow during fires and earthquakes — at home, outdoors, and in educational institutions. She also demonstrated four thematic materials highlighting the difficult daily life of rescuers, their responsible service, and the courage they display.

This is a valuable occasion to once again express gratitude and appreciation for the conscientious work performed by rescuers. The service of a rescuer is a humanitarian mission — one of conscious and selfless dedication.

We are grateful to you and to your families.
