Mr. Nicolas Neef, Lecturer from University of Porto visits Vanadzor State University
From 22 to 25 June 2026, Vanadzor State University (VSU) hosted Nicolas Neef, a German language lecturer and trainer from the University of Porto, who visited the university to deliver German language training courses and professional development seminars. His visit was organized within the framework of the Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility (ICM) MIND ICM 25 Project.
Mr. Neef’s mobility was coordinated by the VSU Center for Internationalization, Cooperation, Project Management, and Public Relations. During his stay, Mr. Neef met with the Rector of Vanadzor State University and the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities. The meetings focused on opportunities for exchanging international experience and implementing future joint initiatives.
On 23 June, with the support of the VSU Center for Educational Reforms, Continuing Education, and Career Development, Mr. Neef conducted a German language training course for German language teachers from the Lori Region.
On 24 June, he delivered an interactive seminar for VSU students, presenting the distinctive features of intercultural communication, sharing engaging examples of European educational practices, and leading a series of grammar and pronunciation exercises designed to enhance participants’ German language proficiency through innovative teaching methodologies.
The visit concluded with a seminar-discussion attended by faculty members of the Chair of Foreign Languages and Literature, specialized in English, German, French, and Spanish.
Nicolas Neef’s visit provided an important platform for the exchange of professional experience, the strengthening of academic partnerships, and the expansion of international cooperation, thereby contributing to the continuous enhancement of foreign language education at Vanadzor State University.
On the final day of the mobility, Gohar Dokholyan, Head of the VSU Center for Internationalization, Cooperation, Project Management, and Public Relations, expressed her appreciation to the guest on behalf of the Rector and the entire university staff and presented him with a Certificate of Appreciation in recognition of his valuable contribution.
