Vanadzor State University Launches Career Guidance Meetings in General Education Schools
Within the framework of university–school cooperation, Vanadzor State University has launched a series of visits by its representatives to general education schools. The aim of these meetings is to support the career guidance of prospective applicants and to familiarize them with the educational opportunities offered by the university.
The initiative was launched at the Zorik Gevorgyan Gymnasium of Vanadzor State University, where a university working group, led by the Rector of Vanadzor State University, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences Armen Tsaturyan, met with students and teaching staff. During the meeting, the structure of the university, academic programs, admission procedures, bachelor’s and master’s degree programs, tuition fees, the discount system, as well as academic mobility programs operating at the university were presented.
The working group included the Rector’s Advisor Garegin Karhanyan; Head of the Department of Research, Innovation and Cooperation, PhD in Biology Armenuhi Harutyunyan; University–School Relations Coordinator and Specialist Aida Iskandaryan; and Head of the Department of Armenian Language and Literature, PhD Hermine Baburyan.
Within the framework of cooperation, visits to a number of schools in Vanadzor, Lori Province, and neighboring regions are planned in the near future, with the aim of expanding the scope of cooperation and engaging a larger number of learners.
