On September 23, the Quality Assurance Center of Vanadzor State University organized a meeting-discussion at Smart Caffe entitled “Students’ Perceptions and Awareness of Integrity Violations in the Field of Education.”

Anna Khachatryan, Head of the Quality Assurance Center, discussed with students their perceptions of plagiarism and methods for combating it. Drawing on the European Council’s 2023-2024 study, she presented examples of integrity violations in the educational sector.

The discussion included schematic representations illustrating the analysis of research findings on the topic.

Additionally, attention was given to recommendations for protecting students from integrity violations, the use of artificial intelligence tools among students, and the roles of key stakeholders in combating integrity violations, such as faculty members, students, student councils, the National Assembly, police, private organizations, and others.

The purpose of the meeting was to raise students’ awareness of integrity violations in education, discuss their causes and potential solutions, and emphasize the importance of collaborative efforts in ensuring quality.
