Meeting within the Framework of University–School Cooperation
On December 17, 2025, a meeting was held in the conference hall of Vanadzor State University named after H. Tumanyan with the principals of senior and secondary schools of the cities of Vanadzor, Spitak, Stepanavan, Tashir, and Alaverdi of Lori Region, as well as the Gugark regional area.
The purpose of the meeting was to strengthen university–school cooperation, identify issues related to the effective organization of students’ practical training in schools, and discuss possible ways to improve them.
During the meeting, Rector Armen Tsaturyan presented the university’s upcoming programs, emphasizing the importance of the effective organization of career guidance visits both to schools in Vanadzor and Lori Region and of reciprocal visits by school students to the university.
The Rector noted that the geographical scope of participating schools would be expanded to include general education institutions from neighboring regions. Conditions will be created to ensure visits to the university by students from remote settlements of the region, providing them with the opportunity to participate in biology, chemistry, and physics experiments in modern, well-equipped laboratories.
The Rector also stated that efforts are underway to revise the procedures for conducting school Olympiads organized by the university, which will ensure maximum objectivity of the results. He also addressed the priorities of organizing practical training in schools, highlighting the importance of control mechanisms and mutual responsibility.
During the discussions, in order to further enhance the effectiveness of cooperation, school principals whose institutions hosted career guidance meetings and students’ industrial internships also shared their observations and proposals. The meeting was held in a constructive and businesslike atmosphere.
