Within the Framework of Francophonie, Students of the Anania Shirakatsi Lyceum Visited Vanadzor State University

On May 15, within the framework of Francophonie, Vanadzor State University hosted students of the Anania Shirakatsi Lyceum who had chosen French as a foreign language. This year, the Lyceum selected Vanadzor State University as the destination for its educational visit.

At the opening of the event, Rector Armen Tsaturyan delivered a welcoming speech. He emphasized the importance of Armenian-French friendly relations, educational and cultural cooperation, language learning, and young people’s interest in different cultures.

During the meeting, the Lyceum students presented their daily life, educational environment, the particularities of studying French, and interesting aspects of life at the Lyceum.

In turn, second-year students of the specialty of “English Language and Literature” introduced the guests to the landmarks of the Lori Region and Vanadzor, as well as to the region’s historical and cultural heritage and tourism potential. The students also presented the history of Vanadzor State University, everyday university life, and student activities.

Following the informational presentation about Vanadzor and the university, the Lyceum students participated in an engaging game organized by the university, during which they answered questions related to the topic.

The meeting was held in a warm and collaborative atmosphere.
