European Sambo Championship
From September 16 to 19, the European Sambo Championship was held in Novi Sad, Serbia, in three age groups: juniors, youth, adults. Athletes from Vanadzor also achieved success at the championship, including Gor Harutyunyan, a 3rd-year student of VSU majoring in “History”.
Gor Harutyunyan took the honorable 1st position in the 88kg weight class at the European Sambo Youth Championship.
Vanadzor State University congratulates the victorious athlete for holding the flag of our country high and wishes him a sports life full of victories.
It is notable that Gor Harutyunyan is a student of RA honored coach Gagik Ghazaryan.
