Excessive physical loads during training and competitions, an early start in sports, improper training methods, and the violation of established norms can lead to injuries among athletes. Such injuries not only adversely affect health and necessitate temporary cessation of training but, in some cases, may result in long-term limitations or disability. Minor and chronic injuries are more commonly observed in athletes with insufficient technical preparation, which increases strain on the nervous system and contributes to the development of further injuries.

For effective injury prevention, it is essential to consider the main contributing factors:

  1. Deficiencies in the organization and conduct of training sessions.
  2. Errors in technical instruction and lack of individualized training approaches.
  3. Use of faulty equipment or facilities, uneven flooring, and improper placement of mats and tracks.
  4. Inadequate sportswear and footwear that fail to meet safety requirements.
  5. Non-compliance with sanitary and hygiene standards.
  6. Insufficient monitoring of athletes’ health status.
  7. Improper use of protective measures and support methods during training.
  8. Violations of safety regulations.

These findings can serve as a valuable resource for coaches in planning training programs and implementing strategies to prevent injuries across various sports disciplines.
