Meeting with employers at VSU
On July 3, 2025, Vanadzor State University named after H. Tumanyan hosted a meeting with representatives of employer organizations.
Acting Rector Rustam Saakyan opened the meeting, emphasizing the university’s mission to prepare specialists who meet the needs of the labor market. The event provided a platform to hear employers’ feedback and suggestions.
Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs L. Kostandyan highlighted key areas for cooperation: organizing internships for bachelor’s and master’s students, integrating them into public and private institutions; promoting continuous professional education; and aligning labor market demands with academic programs.
Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs V. Hovsepyan also noted opportunities for expanding research collaboration with employers.
The meeting included discussions on internships and practical training. Employers and university representatives exchanged views on improving cooperation. Both sides stressed the importance of students gaining practical skills and employers’ active involvement in the educational process. Several initiatives were proposed, including systematic internships, training sessions, lectures, seminars, and joint research projects aimed at increasing graduates’ competitiveness in the job market.
