The Effect of Adequate Doses of Mineral and Organic Fertilizers in Experiments during the Growing Season on the Growth, Development, Yield and Quality of Tomatoes

The paper describes the results of studies of the comparative effectiveness of equivalent doses of various mineral and organic fertilizers in experiments on tomato vegetation. The experiments were conducted in 2021-2023. In the vegetative nursery of the branch of the ANAU “Scientific Center of Soil Science, Melioration and Agrochemistry” (the capacity of the vegetative vessel is 0.6 m3, the soil content is 75 kg, the soil is an irrigated meadow gray variety), tomatoes of the “Anahit” variety are grown. According to the results of research, it was found that the application of mineral and organic fertilizers contributes to an increase in yield when applying the dosage.
When applying mineral fertilizers (N120P120K120) and equivalent doses of manure, vermicompost and compost, the average tomato yield for 3 years ranged from 379-629 c/ha or increased by 99-349 c/ha (or by 35.4–125 % compared with the control).
The maximum yield increase was recorded when compost was applied at a dose of 22 t/ha.
The application of mineral and organic fertilizers also contributed to the improvement of the quality indicators of tomatoes, with the exception of organic acids. Although the nitrate content in tomato increases as a result of applying adequate doses of fertilizers, they are everywhere within the maximum allowable density (MAD) range.
