Training program on “Prioritization and Decision-Making”
On July 25–26, 2025, Vanadzor State University conducted a training program on “Prioritization and Decision-Making” for faculty, staff, and students.
The sessions were led by Anna Khachatryan, Lecturer at the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology, Head of the Quality Assurance Center, and Erasmus+ DeSIRe project participant. She shared her experience gained during training at Lappeenranta University of Technology in Finland.
The training involved 24 students, 20 faculty members, and administrative staff. Its primary aim was to develop participants’ skills in prioritization and decision-making. The program covered several methods, including the Eisenhower Matrix, MoSCoW method, Pareto principle, pros and cons analysis, weighted scoring model, and decision tree approach. Concepts from game theory, such as the payoff matrix and Nash equilibrium, were also introduced.
These approaches help participants objectively evaluate complex choices, define strategies, identify effective solutions, minimize risks, and save resources and time. Through group activities, participants applied the tools in practice and shared their experiences.
