Training on “Prioritization and Decision-Making”

On July 25–26, 2025, a training session entitled “Prioritization and Decision-Making” was held at Vanadzor State University for faculty members, administrative staff, and students. The session was conducted by Anna Khachatryan, lecturer at the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology, Head of the Quality Assurance Center, and member of the Erasmus+ DeSIRe project. Drawing on her professional experience acquired at Lappeenranta University of Technology in Finland, she shared practical insights and methodologies with the participants.

A total of 24 students and 20 faculty and administrative staff members took part in the training.

The objective of the training was to introduce participants to tools and techniques for setting priorities and making effective decisions, while fostering the development of practical skills in applying these tools. Topics covered included the Eisenhower Method, MoSCoW Method, Pareto Principle, Pros and Cons Analysis, Weighted Scoring Model, and Decision Tree Analysis.

Additionally, the training introduced participants to models from Game Theory, including the Payoff Matrix and Nash Equilibrium.

These methodologies and tools provide frameworks for the objective analysis of complex decisions, facilitate the definition of strategic approaches, assist in identifying optimal solutions, help minimize potential risks, and contribute to more efficient use of time and resources.

Through organized group work, participants had the opportunity to apply the presented tools in practice and shared their reflections and feedback during the sessions.
