The closing event for the 2024–2025 academic year of Vanadzor State University was held at the Vanadzor Museum of Fine Arts

On July 9, the traditional end-of-year ceremony of the “Vanadzor State University named after Hovhannes Tumanyan” Foundation for the 2024–2025 academic year was solemnly held at the Vanadzor Museum of Fine Arts.

The day was symbolic, as it also marked the 56th anniversary of the founding of the Vanadzor Pedagogical Institute named after Hovhannes Tumanyan — the predecessor of the current university.

The performances by the “Adelas” dance group, and the “Biana” choir brought a festive atmosphere to the significant day.

The event was led by the writer, playwright, performer, recipient of the Movses Khorenatsi Medal, Candidate of Philological Sciences, and Associate Professor Elfik Zohrabyan.

The ceremony began with the national anthem of the Republic of Armenia and the university anthem, followed by a performance by the Vanadzor State University “Biana” choir, under the direction of Professor Sergey Harutyunyan.

Acting Rector of Vanadzor State University, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor R. Saakyan gave a speech. He expressed gratitude to the entire faculty and administrative staff for their work and major achievements during the academic year, emphasizing that all efforts are made for the sake of students — once again stating that “The hero of Vanadzor State University is the student.”

A video was then shown summarizing the university’s activities, achievements, and successes throughout the 2024–2025 academic year.

Afterward, R. Saakyan presented certificates of appreciation to university and college lecturers, teachers of the affiliated high school, administrative, and technical staff for their dedicated work, effective organization of the educational process, and for upholding the university’s reputation.

The event concluded with a beautiful performance by the “Adelas” dance group of Vanadzor State University.

Congratulations to everyone on another year filled with effective work, professional achievements, and success!
