Book Giving Day at Vanadzor State University

On February 19, the Library of Vanadzor State University after H. Tumanyan hosted events dedicated to Book Giving Day and the birthday of the great Armenian poet Hovhannes Tumanyan.

The event was attended by the Rector of the University, Armen Tsaturyan, representatives of the faculty, employees, and students.

During the event, an educational and intellectual quiz devoted to the life and literary heritage of Hovhannes Tumanyan was organized. Teams from the University College and the High School participated in the quiz. Also, an exhibition of unique and valuable books from the University’s library collections was held.

Particular attention was drawn to the exhibitions entitled “The Book as a Gift” and “Time Preserved in Books.”

The Rector of the University, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences and Honored Educator of the Republic of Armenia, Armen Tsaturyan, upholding the established tradition, donated copies of his authored works to the library.

At the conclusion of the event, a book exchange took place and the event turned into a symbolic initiative promoting the value of books and reading, bringing together book lovers under one roof.
