Third Meeting of the Disaster Risk Management Council

On January 30, 2026, the third meeting of the Disaster Risk Management Council was held at Vanadzor State University named after H. Tumanyan. The meeting was chaired by the Rector of the University, Armen Tsaturyan.

The opening address was delivered by Marine Siradeghyan, Safety Engineer, Secretary of the Council, and the officer responsible for disaster risk management preparedness, who presented the agenda of the meeting.

The agenda included discussions on the timelines for the implementation of disaster risk reduction measures within the framework of the Disaster Risk Management Plan developed for 2025–2028, issues related to technical and other forms of provision, the DRM budget, as well as cooperation with the Vanadzor territorial division of the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, along with other current matters.

The members of the DRM Council discussed ongoing and planned measures aimed at epidemic prevention, vulnerability reduction, and capacity building, in particular the organization of first aid and psychological first aid training courses, instruction on codes of conduct in emergency situations, and the conduct of relevant practical exercises.
