Awards Presented to Participants of the “Avetik Isahakyan–150” Recitation Contest

On November 28, 2025, an award ceremony for the participants of the recitation contest dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the birth of Avetik Isahakyan was held at Vanadzor H. Tumanyan State University.

Welcoming remarks were delivered by the Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs of the University, Associate Professor, PhD in Biological Sciences Varduhi Hovsepyan, and by the Associate Professor at the Chair of Armenian Language and Literature, PhD in Philological Sciences Gayane Papyan.

Lidia Tunyan, a student of Stepanavan High School, Tamara Khachatryan, a student of Katnajur Secondary School, and Susanna Aslanyan, a student of Secondary School No. 24 of Vanadzor, were awarded second- and third-degree diplomas and commemorative gifts for outstanding recitation. Certificates of appreciation were presented to gifted students from Vanadzor, Stepanavan, Tashir, Vardablur, Kurtan, and Aznavadzor.

 Gayane Papyan and Lidia Tunyan enriched the event with the imitation of A. Isahakyan’s spirit. In celebration of Lidia Tunyan’s achievement, a portrait of Avetik Isahakyan, crafted during the contest by Sona Sargsyan, a fourth-year Fine Arts student at the University, was presented to Stepanavan High School.
