Social Sciences Faculty Day

On October 3, Vanadzor State University named after Hovhannes Tumanyan celebrated the Social Sciences Faculty Day with a festive event.

With congratulatory speeches and warm wishes to the students and academic staff, the event was laucnhed by Acting Rector, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Rustam Saakyan; Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor Hrayr Papoyan; Head of the Chair of Economics, Law and Management, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor Viktoria Harutyunyan; Head of the Chair of Pedagogy and Psychology, PhD in Pedagogy, Associate Professor Lilit Baghdasaryan; and Head of the Chair of Art and Sports, PhD in Pedagogy, Associate Professor Arman Barseghyan.

Based on the results of the 2024–2025 academic year, the best student of the Faculty of Social Sciences was announced Alisa Arevshatyan, a fourth-year student majoring in Law.

The best athlete of the faculty was Mher Ohanyan, a second-year student majoring in Physical Education and Sports Training.

For their significant contribution to the development of the faculty’s disciplines, awards were presented to: Associate Professor of the Chair of Economics, Law and Management, PhD in Geography Gohar Yeghyan; Associate Professor of the Chair of Pedagogy and Psychology, PhD in Psychology Margarita Shahverdyan; and Associate Professor of the Chair of Art and Sports Robert Hekimyan.

Outstanding students of the 2024–2025 academic year from different specializations were also awarded. During the festive part of the event, students from various specialties of the faculty did creative performances, highlighting the importance, content, and unique aspects of their chosen professions.
