The 55th anniversary of Vanadzor State University and the end of the 2023-2024 Academic Year were solemnly celebrated at the Vanadzor Palace of Culture after Charles Aznavour

Vanadzor State University named after Hovhannes Tumanyan is 55 years old.

On July 9, the anniversary of our university and the end of the 2023-2024 academic year were solemnly celebrated at the Vanadzor Palace of Culture after Charles Aznavour. At the beginning of the ceremony, the anthems of the Republic of Armenia and the University were played.

The history of the University was presented through an informative video.

Rustam Saakyan, the University’s Rector, Arman Bernetsyan, the Chief Adviser to the Mayor of Vanadzor, Kristine Madoyan, the Head of the Vanadzor Municipality’s Department of Education, Culture, and Tourism, as well as staff members, students, and visitors, were present at the ceremony.

A movie reflecting the University’s efforts, triumphs, and accomplishments for the 2023–2024 academic year was then shown.

Professor Rustam Saakyan, Rector of Vanadzor State University, Doctor of Technical Sciences mentioned that: “Our university, with the work carried out over the year, has once again proved that it is the best in Lori Region”.

A congratulatory speech was made by the University graduate, chief adviser to the mayor of Vanadzor, Lecturer of the Chair of History Arman Bernetsyan.

During the event, the Rector expressed his gratitude towards the lecturers of the VSU and college, teachers of the gymnasium, administrative and technical workers of VSU who spared no effort during the academic year to maintain the honor of the university.

The “Biaina” choir, the “Adelas” Dance Group along with the gifted students of Vanadzor State University graced the ceremony with their performances.

The event ended with a song written by the Head of the Center of Culture Mariam Loretsyan.
