30 Years Later — A Reunion at Their Alma Mater

     On September 20, 2025, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of graduating from the university, the 1995 graduates of the History and Law majors of the Vanadzor State Pedagogical Institute visited the “Vanadzor State University after H. Tumanyan” Foundation.

Accompanied by the Acting Rector of the University, Rustam Saakyan, and the Head of the Cultural Center, Mariam Loretsyan, the graduates toured the university. They visited the library, media lab, Chair of History, and modern classrooms, becoming acquainted with the current facilities and opportunities offered by the university.

The meeting continued at the university’s Smart Caffe, where the guests accomplished the next goal of the visit. Armen Matinyan and Garnik Mazmanyan awarded annual scholarships named after “Arsen Harutyunyan” to the top 4 students of the “History” and “Law” Chairs, as well as presented gifts to the Chair of History.

On behalf of the university, R. Saakyan presented the graduates with a publication of Hovhannes Tumanyan’s poem “In the Armenian Mountains”, issued by the Vanadzor State University Foundation.

During the speeches, A. Matinyan expressed gratitude to the university for the warm welcome, while R. Saakyan thanked the graduates of the unviersirty for maintaining connections with the university and providing ongoing support.
