The topic of the study is the following: text advertising of the company “N. L. Shustov and sons”. The study was conducted on the basis of two Tomsk pre-revolutionary newspapers for 1913, which published advertisements for Shustov’s company: “Siberian Life” and “Morning of Siberia.” This advertising can be divided into visual and textual, which can, in its turn, be divided into poetic and prose. In one issue there were often two advertisements for the company at once. The main principle of text advertising for Shustov cognac is stylization to resemble literary genres. Text advertising was not repeated from issue to issue. A comparative analysis of advertisements in the newspapers “Siberian Life” and “Morning of Siberia” showed that advertisements for Shustov cognac published on the same day do not coincide.
