In the context of educational reforms and the humanization of education, new requirements are imposed on teachers, including the mastery of modern professional and pedagogical skills. The emergence of digital platforms has rendered traditional teaching methods less effective, creating opportunities to expand the visual and cognitive aspects of learning through the integration of verbal, visual, and practical forms of knowledge delivery.

Innovative methods and technologies foster closer interaction between lecturers and students, as well as the development of students’ analytical and creative abilities. The article examines the role of the video method in improving the effectiveness of history courses. It is noted that the use of information technologies in higher education increases student motivation, expands both the volume and depth of acquired knowledge, and enhances the learning process.

The video method makes it possible to organize diverse learning activities, deepen students’ theoretical knowledge, and develop their cognitive skills. At the same time, the professional authority of the lecturer increases, as they are able to effectively manage the educational process using modern tools. In conclusion, it is emphasized that the combination of various methods, including digital technologies, is a necessary condition for effective and contemporary history teaching.
