VSU Students became Bronze Medal Winners of World Sambo Championship

VSU Students became Bronze Medal Winners of World Sambo Championship.

The world youth, junior and cadets sambo championship was held on October 14-16 in Yerevan. VSU students, Gevorg Manukyan, a 3rd-year student of “Physical Education and Sports Training” specialty (Faculty of Social Sciences), and Gor Harutyunyan, a 3rd-year student of “History” specialty (Faculty of Humanities) took part in the tournament.

Both athletes returned with a victory: Gevorg Manukyan, in the 64 kg weight category and Gor Harutyunyan, in the 88 kg weight category, won a bronze medal, taking the third place on the podium.

Vanadzor State University congratulates the student-athletes and wishes them greater achievements in sports life.
