On July 7 Vanadzor State University held a solemn event dedicated to an end of the 2021-2022 academic year at the Vanadzor State Drama Theater named after Hovhannes Abelyan.
The purpose of the event was to sum up the university year and express gratitude towards the administrative and teaching staff of the university who worked tirelessly throughout the year to maintain the high honor of the university.
The ceremony began with a video summarizing the results of the past year of the university’s activities, including the achievements of the university and significant events of the reporting year, which once again confirmed that Vanadzor State University really deserves the title of the best in the region.
Rector of VSU, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Rustam Saakyan congratulated all the assembled guests with the end of 2021-2022 academic year.
The artistic part of the event was provided by the dance group of VSU, “Adelas” and the choir of VSU, “Biayna”, conductor: professor of the Chair of Arts and Sports, Sergey Harutyunyan, accompaniment: Associate Professor of the Chair of Arts and Sports Karine Yeritsyan.

Despite the fact that the VSU Cultural Center did everything to carry out the event in a good mood, the university has not forgotten and will never forget the heroes-graduates and students who died for the defense of our Motherland. Narek Sakanyan, a participant of the 44-day Artsakh war, played dhol thereby paying tribute to the fallen soldiers.
Perhaps the most anticipated part of the event was the awards ceremony. Dozens of university employees received diplomas from VSU Rector Rustam Saakyan.
The award ceremony was held with the expectation of its long lasting, which will inspire the university staff.
At the end of the ceremony, the anthem of the Vanadzor State University (composer Haykuhi Hakobyan, Associate Professor of the Chair of Arts and Sports of VSU) was performed by the staff and students of the university.
