PRODUCTIVE DAY WITH THE STAFF MEMBERS FROM LAPPEENRANTA UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY

On October 6, within the framework of the Erasmus+ CBHE Connecting Universities-Industry through Smart Entrepreneurial Cooperation and Competitive Intelligence of Students in Moldova, Georgia and Armenia(CONNECT) project (https://connecterasmus.com/), Professor Leonid Chechurin and Junior Researcher Ms Anastasia Chakir from Lappeenranta University of Technology (Finland) were hosted at Vanadzor State University after H. Tumanyan.

The VSU Rector, Prof. Dr Rustam Sahakyan, Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs V. Hovsepyan, Head of the Department of Research, Innovation and Cooperation A. Harutyunyan, International Relations and Grants Promotion Officer G. Dokholyan welcomed the guests and visited the newly established Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (SMART CAFFE) at VSU.

The guests had a productive meeting with the project members who introduced the content and videos of the courses to be conducted within the Erasmus+ CONNECT project. The specialists received useful recommendations and technical assistance for the effective organization and implementation of the courses on the Moodle platform.

In the second part of the day, Anastasia Chakir conducted a seminar on “Innovative Teaching Methods” for VSU lecturers, researchers and post-graduate students. Prof. Leonid Chechurin held an interesting lecture on “Creative Problem Solving” to University professors, researchers, graduates and students.

It was the first event held at the VSU Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (SMART CAFFE) which was quite engaging and highly appreciated by the university community.
