Lusik Vardanyan’s Teaching Mobility at the University of Porto

Within the framework of Erasmus+ Mobile Up Project Lusik Vardanyan, Associate Professor of the Chair of Foreign Languages ​​and Literature at VSU, carried out teaching mobility at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, the University of Porto (Portugal) from 7 to 11 March, 2022.
Prof. Vardanyan delivered four lessons on “Academic Skills” in the groups of Professor Angela Carvalho and Professor Jonathan Lewis. During the five-day mobility period, Prof. Vardanyan also had meetings and interesting discussions with Carla Augusto, International Coordinator of the Faculty, Professor Isabel Duarte, Erasmus Faculty Coordinator, Professors Angela Carvalho, Jonathan Lewis, and Fatima Mаrinho. The Portuguese colleagues shared their experience in teaching, student-centered learning strategies methods and techniques. They expressed rather a high opinion of the VSU students who have so far studied at the University of Porto. Besides they appreciated the professional and intercultural abilities of the teaching and administrative staff having been hosted at UPorto. So far, the University of Porto has hosted 10 bachelor’s and master’s students and 10 administrative and teaching staff members. Four staff members from the University of Porto have visited VSU for teaching and the International Coordinator of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities Ms Carla Augusto will be visiting VSU for administrative training in June. During the meeting with the professors L.Vardanyan also discussed some prospects on further cooperation in education and research.
