Certificates handed over to University Volunteers in the VSU Library

On May 16, a meeting was organized in the library of Vanadzor State University with students who worked as volunteers in the library. Rustam Saakyan, Rector of VSU, and Varduhi Hovsepyan, Vice-Rector of VSU for scientific affairs attended the event.

Gohar Gaboyan, the Head of the Library, presented a short report on the number of volunteers, as well as the nature and volume of work they did.

Rector Rustam Saakyan emphasized that the volunteering process has recently been introduced in various faculties of the university, and that the culture of volunteering is widely accepted throughout the world. He thanked the students-volunteers for their work and presented them with certificates, with the hope that this will help the students find employment.

Rustam Saakyan also visited the archive of ancient and rare books of the library, where re-inventory work was completed. The Head of the Library presented the work completed, stating that the collection was completely re-inventoried, classified, mapped and cataloged in accordance with library work standards.
