Student Spring-2024

On May 10, in the Concert Hall of the Music School named after Eduard Kzartmyan in Vanadzor, one of the students’ favorite events, the “Student Spring”-2024 annual festival, has started. The festival is organized by the initiative of Vanadzor State University and is aimed at the artistic education of students, as well as the activation of cultural activities. The goal is to discover, encourage and support gifted students, to contribute to the formation of the new generation and citizen’s aesthetic taste. Students from 14 educational institutions of the republic participated in the annual festival “Student Spring”-2024. Participating institutions included Yerevan State Music College named after Romanos Melikyan, French University in Armenia, Shirak and Gavar State Universities, Ijevan branch of Yerevan State University, Stepanavan State Agricultural College named after Professor A. Kalantar, Vanadzor Branch of National Polytechnic University of Armenia, Vanadzor Branch of National Agrarian University of Armenia, State College of Art named after Mikael Tavrizyan, Vanadzor State Medical College, Vanadzor Branch of Yerevan State Institute of Theater and Cinema, Vanadzor S. Tevosyan State Polytechnic College, Vanadzor State University and “Vanadzor State University” Foundation College. The festival has already become an interregional cultural event. The performances of the participants of the festival were held in the following categories: Choir and Vocal Ensemble, Instrumental performances, Dance, Theatrical Art, which includes mono performance, recitation and performance. Participants were pre-divided into professional and amateur groups. Assessment was done for each group separately. The closing ceremony of the “Student Spring”-2024 festival took place on May 11. First of all, the dance group of Vanadzor State University “Adelas” greeted the attendees with traditional dances. Afterwards, Rustam Saakyan, Rector of the university presented certificates of appreciation to the employees involved in the festival. The Rector also presented awards and trophies to the first-place participants in various nominations of the festival. Composer Gagik Aghababyan presented the awards to the second and third place participants. Other students participating in the competition were awarded with certificates of appreciation. Dramatist, satirist Samvel Khalatyan presented the certificates to the participants of the festival. The closing ceremony of the “Student Spring”-2024 festival ended with a beautiful musical performance by Suzanna Aroyan, a student of Vanadzor State University.
