In the framework of Erasmus + International Credit Mobility Programme, Vanadzor State University has been cooperating with the Iasi Alexandru Ioan Cuza University (Romania) since 2013. The University was founded one year after the establishment of the Romanian state, by an 1860 decree of Prince Alexandru Ioan Cuza, and one of the most advanced research and education institutions in Romania. The Alexandru Ioan Cuza University offers study programmes in Romanian, English, and French. In 2008, for the third year in a row, it was placed first in the national research ranking compiled on the basis of Shanghai criteria.
Within the scope of International Credit Mobility Programme, already 16 students have already studied at different departments of Alexandru Ioan Cuza University, and one Romanian student has carried out her mobility at VSU.
